YOUTH AGAINST CANCER (YAC)

This project is aimed at raising awareness on preventive measures against cancer for the youths using the healthy lifestyle option.

Project Objectives

  • To increase public awareness of breast cancer especially among 40 % women within the risk age in Port Harcourt local government in six months
  • To educate 30 % of the women basic facts about breast cancer, importance screening, and early detection of breast cancer in 6 months.
  • To Train 50% of community health care providers on breast health awareness and relevant skills for early detection of breast cancer in 6 months
  • To institute an effective referral system for identified cases further investigations and appropriate treatment where necessary.
